COURTNEY ROGERS AND SCOTTY PHILLIPS
The FRED PFEIFFER ART AWARD is presented to COURTNEY ROGERS and SCOTTY PHILLIPS in recognition of their dedication to the
prolific artwork of artist extraordinaire CARL FRED PFEIFFER, JR. and for their tireless dedication to keep FRED PFEIFFER'S artistic
legacy alive.
They are also recognized for their "PFEIFFER PFILES BLOG" ( http://fredpfeifferartist.blogspot.com ) and for the
complete dedication they have shown to the LEGACY OF FRED PFEIFFER.
The above 2019 Award winners,Courtney and Scotty, performed the research for most
of the background information and photo content used on this Memorial site.
Many of the book covers and photos used on this site come from The Pfeiffer Pfiles Blog. The owners have agreed to permit us to use their content, based on their years of research and hard work, to share the legacy of Fred Pfeiffer on this site.
We thank the award winners for protecting the legacy of Fred Pfeiffer. If Fred were here he would be very proud of these two men. He would furthermore "humbly accept" all of our accolades for the genius of his artwork.
Fred would immensely appreciate their work in creating The Pfeiffer Pfiles Blog. Therefore on Fred's behalf, we greatly thank Courtney Rogers and Scotty Phillips for all the years of work they have performed on behalf of Carl Frederick Pfeiffer, Jr.'s legacy.

Bio by Courtney.
Born: 1959 Milwaukee, WI
Grew up in Elmhurst, IL (western suburb of Chicago).
Graduated Western Illinois University 1982 Marketing.
Discovered Fred Pfeiffer art on cover of Doc Savage paperback "The South Pole Terror" 1974.
Moved to Glendale, AZ in 1996.
Joined the AZ Fans of Bronze at Doc Con #2 1998.
Started search for other paperbacks with Pfeiffer art (only knew him through Doc Savage
covers) sometime in 2007-2008.
Met Scotty Phillips through email after he saw a video of my presentation on Fred Pfeiffer at
Doc Con 2008.
Scotty created Fred Pfeiffer blog in 2010 and used my research and book cover scans to create
Pfeiffer presence on the Internet.
Currently employed at Banner Health as a data analyst.
SCOTTY PHILLIPS

Scotty Phillips a Mr and Mrs Phillips Production of Oct. 1959 grew up moving a lot.
Young Scotty grew up in various parts of Tennessee, Alabama, N.Carolina, Georgia, and
Florida. Finishing tech. school in 1979 he began a career in radio and continued
moving around. He did have a lengthy stay in Tampa at the now famous WYNF 95ynf.
After 10 years at the super station he moved to a top 10 market Houston and did the
Outlaw radio show for 3 years. He just ended his radio duties at Cox media Tampa in
2019.
Art has always been a part of his life and he has never been long without drawing or
sketching or painting. Fred Pfeiffer a favorite is always studied. Such an interesting
illustrator. I thought he deserved better than he was getting. I met Courtney and he
felt the same way. The Pfiles was created and we were just waiting to meet some of
Fred's friends. Hi.
